Each year in January and July, the Southern MN Poets are lucky to have Susan Stevens Chambers hostess a poetry retreat.

The winter retreat is called the Blizzard Retreat and is held at Susan’s home.

The summer retreat is held at her family’s very large cabin on Horseshoe Lake near Brainerd, MN.

For both events, participants register ahead of time, they bring food and poems to share, a 1/2 hour program that the put on and a willingness to pitch in to help cook and keep the cabin clean throughout the weekend.

Poets come from all over the state and other states to be part of these great events – they are relaxed, fun and very enjoyable!
